New Avengers Trailer

Yesterday we were given the new poster for The Avengers movie and today we have a brand spanking new trailer.  I'm not going to lie, I got chills watching this trailer.  I love the cast, director and the idea of Loki bringing the (possible spoilers) to earth.  It all looks really good and I think this will make a wondeful summer movie event!  I took the liberty of taking some screen grabs of Mr. Chris Evans from the trailer.  Lord, that boy has a nice ass.  He is welcome to pound on my bag any day...

Baconnaise?

I just stumbled upon a nifty little site called Baconnaise and couldn't believe my eyes.  It would appear this marvelous company has created a bacon flavored spread.  I guess you can slop it on anything (much like Bacon).  Color me surprised that I have not had this before given my unhealthy obsession with all things bacon.  While surfing the products area, I noticed they also have Baconnaise Lite.  Why has this company not contacted me to be a spokesperson?

I Have A Heart On For...Arielle Kebbel

Makes my heart flutter she does...that was a bit too Yoda for a Tuesday. Arielle isn't too popular, yet. She has been in a lot of TV shows and well, most of my favorites. You can check out her page at IMDB. Girl is currently on fire and I have a great big ole' gay crush on her. I first noticed her in the Grudge 2 and really enjoyed what she did in that terrible movie. She was also in The Vampire Diaries and True Blood and now she is guesting on the 90210 show. Is anyone watching that show anymore? I watched some of it when Shannen Doherty was playing Brenda but once she was out, so was I.

More after the jump, jump away!

Behind Chris Evans

Sigh, Chris Evans is hot even when beaten up by outer worldly forces. Try saying outer worldly forces three times fast. Now try saying it when drunk, much harder. Anyfuckingway, I found these photos from The Avengers so I decided to snap em up like Angelina Jolie in an orphanage. Enjoy.

New poster for The Avengers

Like most nerds in this fine country, my excitement for The Avengers is about to spurt.  As a kid, I never imagined I would ever get to see an Avengers film come to the big screen.  Sure, not all the stand alone movies have been terrific but we take what we get sometimes (i'm talking to you Iron Man 2 and both Hulk films).  I am excited to see what Joss Whedon will do with this film.  He is clearly a fan of this material so hopefully he will bring a comic fan perspective to the film mixed with directing experience.  Granted, Jeremy Renner and Scarlet J are not exciting me so far but maybe I will be surprised and Joss will give them some meaty stuff to work with in the film.  Now, I love this poster (minus the bad photoshop of RDJR.) but I was hoping we would get a better image of the hulk.  He still looks to CGI for my taste but will reserve judgement for the final product.  Shirtless Chris Evans after the cut.

Favorite Horror Sountracks

As any horror fan knows, the trick to any good horror movie is a great soundtrack. As someone who has way too much useless music on my Mac, I decided to dig through my soundtracks and pick out my favorite scores. I tend to listen to these all year and that is probably why I am single. List after the break.

I can play just about any keyboard but I can't read or write a note. - John Carpenter.

10. The Lost Boys: Various

Ok, so this is not really considered a horror movie by most standards but it had vampires so I threw it in the stew. Growing up on this movie and the score, I can remember listening to it and just loving the album. There are so many good songs on this CD.  It is kind of total cheese, but I loved Cry Little Sister by Gerald McMann. We also have some INXS to spice it up a bit. Random site note: one of the first things I did when moving to SF was make a trip to Santa Cruz to visit the boardwalk used in the movie. It was very surreal. I pretended I was Jason Patric and kept saying "star" over and over. Where was Kiefer by the way?

Jason Lives: The Making Of Friday The 13th Part 6

This is a fun little video on the making of Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part VI and was included on the DVD release. While looking up pictures of Thom Mathews, I stumbled upon this little gem. For fans, nothing really new in the video but it was good to see the director explain some of his favorite moments and elaborate on how hard these movies were to get made and released. A good view for fans.

Thom Mathews

For those unfamiliar with Mr. Mathews, I give you his IMDB page. As a young rascal, I first encountered said hot piece as Tommy in Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI and I have been in love ever since. First, this installment is by far one of my favorites in the series and Tommy Jarvis Thom is one of the reasons. Granted, he always played the dumb guy a bit too easy but he was easy on the eyes so we let it slide. The scene where he is forced between Megan’s legs in the high speed chase was oddly erotic. I have never wanted to be a leather seat so bad.

See anything you like?

Doh.

2012 Oscars or the most boring night of the year.

Yeah, so the Oscars were last night. I've never been a huge fan of watching the Oscars. I would much rather watch the highlights the next day since the telecast is like 16 hours. It's like a Jerry Lewis telethon at this point. I think the last show I watched still had 5 best picuture nominee's and I think they have like 18 now or something. They need to switch back. Anyfuckingway, I sat through the show last night (with my box of wine in check) and was impressed by Billy Crystal. I thought he would bore the shit out of me but I found him funny actually. It make me want to pull out my old copy of City Slickers (yes I own it) and give it a view. Speaking of people past their prime, this old drunkard made me laugh so much. Every interview on the red carpet was filled with cunt laced venom and it was the star of the show in my opinion. Seriously, someone needs to give Richard Dreyfuss a box of wine and let him host next year.

Seriously, let him host.

I was really unimpressed by all the fashion. Granted, my idea of high fashion is remembering to wear a belt to work. My favorite was Miss Mila YoYovich er..Mila Jovovich. I love her and she was hitting it hard last night. I thought about turning straight for like 5 minutes and that's pretty impressive. Typically, only Charlize Theron garners that reaction from me.

All in all, a rather boring night. But I did finish off that box of wine so mission accomplished!

Brett Ratner to direct Hercules?

Variety is reporting that Brett Ratner is going to direct a Hercules movie? How does this guy keep getting directing jobs? I mean, he ruined Terminator: Salvation and X-MEN: The Last Stand so can't we get a break? If they want to make a good Hercules movie, they need to bring back Kevin Sorbo. I bet he has plenty of time on his hands. If you need a reminder of his acting skills, watch this video.

Kevin Sorbo never made me want to drop to my knees. Of course, I loved watching Hercules and Xena (for very different reasons). Sorbo gave such great cheese on that show and I have huge respect for his ability to never emote in any scene.
